This stunning and unusual pendant is handmade by Little Bird Studio 22 and is hand crafted using two solid sterling silver lucky sixpences which have been previously in circulation, the coins are dated 1914. The pendant is beautifully inspired and designed in the style made popular by the lovely Holly Willoughby
The design is beautiful in its simplicity.
I have other coin necklace and dates available so please check out my other items

This on trend pendant would make a gorgeous gift or beautiful treat for yourself, it's a great idea for a wedding gift with the British tradition of carrying a sixpence on your big day

This tradition comes from an Old English rhyme ("Something Olde, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe"), and the four objects that the bride adds to her wedding outfit or carries with her on the big day are good luck charms. Something old represents continuity; something new offers optimism for the future; something borrowed symbolizes borrowed happiness; something blue stands for purity, love, and fidelity; and a sixpence in your shoe is a wish for good fortune and prosperity.

The design is truly unique and the pendant comes complete with an 18" solid sterling silver trace chain, it will also come with a lovely handmade unbleached cotton gift pouch.

These necklaces are becoming increasing popular and not all are sterling silver, I only use silver coins to make these necklaces, rather than those dated after 1947 when silver was replaced with nickel in the UK
